Pistol Annies take fans behind the scenes of the creation of the title track off their latest studio album, Interstate Gospel, in the song's new music video. Press play above to watch!

The video opens with a "recording" sign lit up before panning to each of the Pistol Annies members —Miranda Lambert, Ashley Monroe and Angaleena Presley — in sound booths ready to belt out the song.

"These church towns, they light up these roads that I roam / They're leading me closer, they're calling me home," the trio sings in the chorus. "The further I get, the further I go / This interstate gospel is saving my soul."

The Pistol Annies' recording studio has a homey feel with a rustic look. During the recording session clip, viewers see the three women in their natural habitat while singing and also cheering each other on from the booth.

Pistol Annies' first show since returning as a trio in October of 2018 included an acoustic rendition of "Interstate Gospel." That particular version of the song is pure harmonious bliss, with just acoustic guitars and vocals ringing out through Nashville's historic Ryman Auditorium. It's easy to see why the group chose this song to be the title track of their third studio album.

Interstate Gospel debuted at No. 15 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart, and at No. 1 on the Top Country Albums chart. The record follows their 2013 album Annie Up.

Lambert will take the Pistol Annies on her headlining Roadside Bars and Pink Guitars Tour this fall. She'll also have support from Maren Morris, Ashley McBryde, Tenille Townes, Elle King and Caylee Hammack on select dates.
