Parkston Polar Plunge this Weekend

I just checked my records. It was 7 years ago that I drove to Parkston, South Dakota for their Polar Plunge. I just checked my calendar, and it's less than a week till they fire it up outside of Boog's Bar in Parkston [pun intended] to raise money for South Dakota Special Olympics.

At this stage most of the money has been raised. I write this story to remind you to fire up your wallet if you have a friend who is jumping into the water.

It was 7 years ago, and but I remember it like it was yesterday. Dang that water was cold that day. It is true however when they say, you only feel cold for a little while. Once you warm up you start thinking like a Norweigian and kind of like the way you feel afterwards. If you'd like more more information we have it for you here.
