The Green Bay Packers got the monkey off their back and defeated the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday night, 27-17.

Green Bay won its 10th straight game at home. The Packers also improved to 7-1 all-time at Lambeau Field against Seattle with its win. Sunday's win helped the Packers start 2-0, while the Seahawks fell to 0-2.  The victory over Seattle could be the difference in getting home-field advantage late in the playoffs for the Green Bay. However, there's still a lot of games left and the Packers just have to take care of business.

My stars of the game are Jayrone Elliot and Richard Rodgers. He picked off Russell Wilson and forced Fred Jackson to fumble on the last drive of the game to seal the victory for the Packers. Richard Rodgers was spectacular in the passing game. He made big catches and grabbed important yards after the catch. Richard Rodgers caught three passes for 23 yards and a touchdown. The touchdown in the fourth quarter he caught was impressive as he just barely got his feet inbounds for six points. In Aaron Rodgers' postgame interview, he said the play was actually a broken play and they didn't have a route called. Marvelous connection from Rodgers to Rodgers.

Aaron Rodgers, of course, was really good, too. He was 25 of 33 for 249 yards and two touchdowns. Aaron Rodgers has only thrown 13 incompletions all season long. (He was 18 of 23 in Week 1 at Chicago). What's a crazier statistic? In the past 1,023 days, Aaron Rodgers has made 545 passes and thrown for 43 touchdowns without an interception at Lambeau.

In Sunday's game, Mason Crosby became the Packers' all-time scoring leader and passed Ryan Longwell.

What I liked in the game? I loved the defense late in the game and Elliot forcing two turnovers to give the ball back to the Packers. Green Bay also limited two of Seattle's best players. Marshawn Lynch carried the ball 15 times for 41 yards and Jimmy Graham caught one pass for 11 yards in the game.

Offensively, in the fourth quarter, the Packers tried some new things. Green Bay lined up receivers in the backfield, using Randall Cobb, Ty Montgomery and Richard Rodgers. It was a good move with out Eddie Lacy out the game, who injured his ankle (X-rays were negative). Despite Lacy's injury, James Starks did run the ball very well. He ran hard and had several bursts for big yardage. Starks ran the ball 20 times for 95 yards.

Up next, the Packers play the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday Night Football.
