With haunting vocals, Margo Price delivered a powerful message in "All American Made" during a performance on Good Morning America on Monday (Jan. 7).

The groundbreaking artist displayed her talents on the GMA Day stage in the form of the title track of her universally acclaimed 2017 album. Guitar in hand, Price delivers a solid performance of her poignant song, which analyzes the pitfalls of America with an insightful eye.

Price's beautiful voice carries such sharp lyrics as "Heartache on the bottom and / A headache on the top / The part of me that hurts the worst / Is the one I just can't spot / And it's all American made" before addressing how former president Ronald Reagan sold weaponry to Iran in 1985 during the Iran-Cantra Affair and pondering the well-being of people on welfare. The purposeful singer adds another topical reference to the performance by replacing the original line "if the folks on welfare are making it alright" with "if the folks down by the border are making it alright."

"Even though we're all really different, there's a common thread that runs through the United States and that diversity makes us beautiful," Price tells Vice about the "All American Made" music video, in which she travels across the country and features people of all backgrounds. "So many people are divided right now. It feels like there's a left and there's a right, and there's a lot of disagreement between those two sides, but there are a lot of similarities as well."

"All American Made" closes out Price's socially conscious album, which also addresses topics such as the gender pay gap and the plight of farmers.

Price earned one of the most prominent honors at the 2019 Grammy Awards: a nomination in the all-genre Best New Artist category. She's nominated alongside fellow country act Luke Combs as well as Bebe Rexha, Dua Lipa, Chloe x Halle, H.E.R., Greta Van Fleet and Jorja Smith. The 2019 Grammys are scheduled to air live on Feb. 10 on CBS.
