Two days ago my wife and I woke up to 74 degrees. That was at 6:30 a.m. Now, we were in a different part of the world. We were about an hour south of Cancun, Mexico. What a difference 1600 miles makes.

This morning there was no talk of 74 degrees. There was a lot of talk about highs around single digits. Lows tonight are rumored to be headed to about -16.  Yep, I call that a Lion.

In fact if you check the record book, today's March 1st is one of the coldest in nearly 80 years. Lion, Lion, Lion!

That does leave us with thoughts of warmer weather. Less than a week ago we were checking out nightly concerts on the beach. Dierks Bentley, Brantley Gilbert, Jana Kramer and Billy Currington. On the beach. 77 degrees. At 9:00 p.m.!

It's been a little tough adjusting, but we're back. While we were in Mexico, my wife and I had the opportunity to ride 4 wheeler and ride horseback on the beach. The same beach where they filmed several of the Corona Beer commercials.

The official start of spring is 20 days away. I can't wait for that lamb-like day on Monday March, 31st.  Stay warm!
