Little Big Town Bring Their Kids Onstage to Dance, and Dance They Do [Watch]
Longtime Little Big Town fans have seen the kids grow up before their eyes. And they're getting older! On Saturday (April 21), the group brought the children out during a live performance of "Happy People" so they could dance and sing along with their parents.
Look for Jimi Westbrook and Karen Fairchild’s son Elijah showing off some impressive dance moves, along with Kimberly Schlapman’s daughters Daisy and baby Dolly making an adorable appearance.
"Kiddos (and our sweet friend, Kellen) onstage," Schlapman writes on her Instagram page on Sunday (April 22) alongside a pic of her on stage with her daughter. A YouTube video also shows Daisy singing during the performance — the musical gene is strong in the Schlapman household!
The moment occurred during the last date on the band's Breakers Tour, which has made its way across the country since the beginning of the year. Now the country foursome will take a brief break before prepping to go out on tour starting on July 12 alongside Miranda Lambert on their co-headlining the Bandwagon Tour. In addition, openers Tenille Townes, Turnpike Troubadours and the Steel Woods will join on selected dates of the tour, which is set to run through August 25 with a final date in Chicago.
It’s been quite a month for Little Big Town, who performed their cover of Elton John's hit "Rocket Man" at the ACM Awards on April 15. The song is featured on John’s new Restoration album, which also includes covers from Maren Morris, Chris Stapleton and Vince Gill.
