Kickin’ Country Weekend-Pyro City Fireworks

Growing up, the Fourth of July was probably the most anticipated holiday of the year. Ok, maybe Christmas, but the Fourth of July had to be a close second. My real passion for the fourth started the year my Dad brought home a huge box of fireworks. I mean, it was big! And it sat right by the garage door of the house, for about 10 days. Before the fourth.

Talk about anticipation. As we got a little closer, we had the chance to do some firecrackers. When we got closer to the fourth you might find a 'spent sparker' or 40 in an ice-cream bucket half-filled with water. Hey, we were living on a farm and it was probably a dry year so we had to be careful.

The July 4th Holiday continues to be a favorite for many. Our boys loved it growing up and our granddaughter likes it as well.
