Watching the is like looking into a kaleidoscope, bursting with psychedelic visuals that capture the beauty of the world. Musgraves becomes a digital, doll-like version of herself in the visually intoxicating video, holding the world in her hands before being transformed into a majestic centaur standing amongst a field of crystals. She ties in her affinity for butterflies with a captivating visual of multi-color butterfly wings changing color over her face as mini neon butterflies dance across the screen in the background. Graphics of a mermaid floating amidst a rainbow backdrop and intricate decals of hearts, flowers and a glittering globe also make up the detail-oriented video as the country singer's soothing voice sings overhead: "Oh what a world / Don't want to leave / All kinds of magic all around us / It's hard to believe / Thank god it's not / Too good to be true."

"Oh, What a World" is the fourth track on Musgraves' Grammy winning album Golden Hour. In a 2018 interview with the Currentthe groundbreaking singer reveals that the trippy track, which utilizes a vocoder, helped set the stage for the rest of the project.

"That was really kind of a song that set the tone for the rest of the record because it was the first one that we wrote and it was like, 'Wow, OK, I want to follow this,'" she describes. "What is a world where steel guitar and banjo, all these intrinsic country elements, can live with some of the more Daft Punk influences in my head?"

She's currently on a tour named after the song, which continues through the end of September.
