When Justin Moore tells Kickin' Country that he's "proud to be from small town USA", it's from the heart, and he'll prove it March 29th.

I had a chance to talk with Justin this morning over a cup of coffee. Of course, he had his 'morning joe' in his kitchen in Nashville and I had mine in the KIKN 100.5 studio...but it was still cool.

So how does a kid from a town that small work his way up to Music Row, a record deal and eventual stardom as a country music singer touring with the biggest acts in country music today?

Surrounding myself with the right people, positive upbringing, and, a little luck"

When speaking with him it is clear he could have been raised in any one of the small towns throughout Kickin' Country. He grew up in a town of 272, and graduated high school with a class of only 37. That's 36 people who could probably get a backstage pass before you or I.

After listening to the lyrics of his hit songs such as, Small Town USA", "If Heaven Wasn't So far Away", "Bait a Hook", and "Til My Last day", one gets a pretty clear picture as to how Justin grew up. Hunting, fishing, climbing water towers, tailgate parties, and Friday night bonfires. Sound familiar?

Write about what you know. Pour in heart and soul and let it ride"

Justin Moore will be in concert along with Dustin Lynch, and Jon Pardi on the "Outlaws Like Me" tour March 29th, 2013 at the Swiftel Center in Brookings, SD.
