Judge Judy Sheindlin has announced that her popular TV show will be ending after this season. Judge Judy is in its 25th year of production. The 77-year-old Judge Judy will announce on Monday's Ellen DeGeneres show that she will be done with her reality TV show.

Forbes reported that Sheindlin is the highest-paid TV star making roughly $900,000 per episode of the show. In 2017 Judy earned $147 million. Judy also set the Guinness World Record in 2015 for the longest career as a TV judge.

Judge Judy debuted her TV show in 1996 after she had retired from the bench of Manhattan family court. Here sidekick and bailiff 'Byrd', Petri Hawkins-Byrd, was also Sheindlin's bailiff throughout her career in the Manhattan Family Court system.

According to Wikipedia when Byrd found out about Sheindlin's show, he sent her a congratulatory letter, stating, "If you ever need a bailiff, I still look good in uniform." She phoned Byrd at his home in California to accept his offer and he has been the show's bailiff since its debut.
