Country singer John King is experiencing an extreme high right now. The newcomer shares that his daughter, Scarlett, was born on June 19.

King gave fans the news in an Instagram post on Wednesday alongside the first photo of his new baby girl.

"Meet Scarlett," he writes with a picture of himself, beaming as he holds her in the hospital. Baby girl King entered the world at 9:03PM local time weighing 7 lbs., 5 oz., and measuring 21 inches.

Adds the proud father: "Thanks to everyone for the prayers ... she's perfect."

King and his wife, Hannah, revealed that they were expecting their first baby on Christmas Eve 2017, sharing a photo that showed them holding up a little stocking to represent their little one on the way. The singer continued to update fans via Instagram throughout Hannah's pregnancy.

The birth of the couple's brand new baby is just a piece of what has been quite a year for this aspiring country artist, who recently signed a publishing deal with Sony/ATV Nashville and also released his debut single, "Never Wanna Be."

In March, King received much attention for his cover of rapper Logic’s hit "1-800-273-8255," a song named after the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline phone number.

"In real life, real songs aren’t always easy to talk about and this is definitely one of those really difficult topics that people don’t talk about, but it happens,” he said in an interview with People magazine following the release of the song. "I think it’s so cool that Logic was brave enough to sing about a subject like suicide."
