Jimmy Dean Selling Plant-Based ‘Sausage’ Patty Sandwiches
Would you like a Sausage, Egg, & Cheese Croissant only without the meat? Well, now you can. The Jimmy Dean website says:
“Get your day started off right with our delicious Plant-Based Patty, Egg & Cheese Croissant Sandwiches. Each breakfast sandwich comes with flaky croissants, tasty cheese, fluffy eggs, and a plant-based patty packed with our signature taste.”
Tyson Foods based in Springdale, Arkansas, has announced that they are now offering two new Jimmy Dean plant-based sandwiches. You'll be able to get the Delights Plant-Based Patty & Frittata and The Plant-Based Patty, Egg & Cheese Croissant.
The patties are made with a vegetable and grain plant-based patty made with soy protein, black beans, brown rice, quinoa, and egg white.
Scott Glenn, senior director of marketing for the Jimmy Dean brand said: “Plant-based foods are revolutionizing the way people eat across meal occasions, including breakfast. As the protein breakfast leader, expanding our portfolio to provide people with alternative choices was critical. We also had to deliver the same signature flavor and quality people expect from the Jimmy Dean brand with our new sandwiches, and we’re excited for both our lifelong and new fans to try them.”
