Jerrod Niemann has released a video for his poignant new song, "God Made a Woman."

Shot in the desert, the emotional ballad plays over scenes of Niemann walking through an open field past several little white crosses and an old structure that's in ruins, with beautiful mountains in the background. As Niemann travels down the road, he stumbles upon an old white church and a woman in a long white dress, whom he dances with in the middle of the wide open street. The woman Niemann falls for in the video is also the woman he married in real life, wife Morgan Petek.

The video's stunning scenery pairs perfectly with the song's haunting melody and beautiful lyrics including "Then God made a woman fall for a man / Didn't have much going, but his life began when she took his hand / The sky turned blue, the clouds parted, light shined on a lonely heart / When God made a woman."

The country star is currently working on a new yet-to-be-titled project and told Taste of Country in 2015 about "God Made a Woman" and how it's a song he's "excited" for people to hear. The track is co-written by Jeff Hyde ("Record Year," "Kill a Word"), Joel Shewmake and "Kiss You in the Morning" singer Michael Ray and serves as the new album's first single. "It’s a special song, [I’m] lucky to have it,” he says.

Niemand also revealed at a listening party for the album that fans can expect to hear “more songs from the heart and less songs from the liver” on his next project. The new album does not currently have a release date.
