North Dakota’s Favorite Snack Is Kind Of Boring

I don’t know about you, but I love a good snack. Honeybuns, fruit rollups, Uncrustables...I'm still a kid at heart. 

The Pioneer Woman did a study to find the most popular snacks in each state-- salty snacks, sweet snacks, and even healthy snacks.

National Snack Day was earlier this month, on March 4th, and sadly, I missed it. So now I feel like we have to make up for that loss.

Most Popular Snack In The Country

If you’re curious as to what is the most popular snack in the entire country that title goes to Rice Krispy Treats.

To be honest, I can't remember the last time I had a Rice Krispy Treat. Personally, I think homemade is the only way to go.

Number 2 Snack

That treat takes the number one spot in 18 different states. Some of those states include Alaska, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, and Washington.

The second most popular snack in the country is Doritos. 16 states voted that as their favorite snack .

Most Popular Snack In North Dakota

The source looked at North Dakota as well, and you might be surprised to learn that were one of only two states that chose the snack as our favorite.

One of only three states the most popular snack in North Dakota as of 2024 is Chex Mix. I find this a little underwhelming.

There’s so many great snacks out there and we went with… Chex mix. I mean, at least we’re somewhat health conscious.
