Sioux Falls Chuck E. Cheese to Close Saturday

We had some fair pizza and spent a pile of money on tokens through countless birthday parties but the iconic Sioux Falls Chuck E Cheese is closing.

It's been in Sioux Falls on South Louise since 2001.

The Argus Leader is reporting that the curtain will close for the last time on Saturday, March 30.

The Chuck E. Cheese experience included an animatronic show featuring what was supposed to be a coyote for a mascot but strongly resembled a rat instead. The company rolled with it despite a rat not being very marketable to children's parties.

The rat then morphed into a friendly-looking mouse and then, in 2017, the animatronic stage show was scrapped altogether and replaced with more trampoline and arcade space, according to Wikipedia.
