Another Sioux Falls Restaurant Needs Your Help to Stay Open
The status of the local restaurant scene in Sioux Falls continues to be a tumultuous one, to say the least.
The closures of favorites like Kaladi's, Rosie's Cafe, Papa Woody's, and more have been a big blow.
Luckily, others like McNally's (new ownership) and Ode To Food (new location) managed to avoid closing, and most recently, The Cattitude Cafe got a new lease on life after putting out an urgent plea for funding from customers.
But times are still tough out there.
FIGHTING TO KEEP THE DOORS OPEN
The latest Sioux Falls restaurant to go public with its struggles is Swamp Daddy's Cajun Kitchen in the Jones 421 Building on North Phillips Avenue.

NOT THE FIRST BIG CHALLENGE
If you know anything about Swamp Daddy's, you know it is already a miracle it has survived this long.
Back in January of 2024, the restaurant was forced to close for eight months after a glycol leak caused by an HVAC company hitting a pipe while moving a furnace one floor above the restaurant, forcing a major clean-up and renovation project.
The restaurant rebounded from that setback and reopened last August. A Saturday brunch has been added on selected dates.
Swamp Daddy's is open Tuesday-Saturday from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
