These continue to be very lucrative times for lottery players in Minnesota.

For the third time since the beginning of March, someone in the North Star State has nabbed a jackpot in excess of $1 million.

The latest huge payday came in the most recent (April 24) Lotto America drawing, where one winning ticket sold at Cub Foods in Coon Rapids matched all six numbers (7-12-17-22-52 and Star Ball 3) and picked up a $3.1 million jackpot, with a cash option of $1.43 million.

Just last week (April 15), someone in Worthington captured a $1,911,615 jackpot in the Gopher 5 drawing.

This rash of massive Minnesorta winnings began back on March 4 when a Lotto America ticket sold in Roseville matched all six numbers and won $3.73 million.

Those jackpots fall well short of the biggest in state history.

A $22.8 million jackpot ticket sold in Roseau in March 2018, and a $21.6 million ticket sold in Ramsey in July 2019.
