Stensland Family Farms has announced that “on August 11th, we as a family came to the incredibly hard decision to discontinue bottling milk.

THIS DOES NOT AFFECT ANY OF OUR OTHER PRODUCTS.

Our last bottling day will be September 6th, with last deliveries to various retail locations on Friday, September 8th.”

They stated on their website that, “After much consideration, we as a family have decided to discontinue bottling fluid products at Stensland Family Farms.

When Stensland Family Farms began our creamery 7 years ago, the original goal was to produce the best ice cream in the Midwest.

After several months of research and development, we created a premium ice cream, which in turn led us to have a surplus of milk.

We didn't want this by-product to go to waste, so we began bottling. Half gallons were set to be launched mid-August.

These half gallons were to replace gallon jugs and included all new labeling, as advertised on cooler doors at various retailers.

Unfortunately, with the demanding state of the market, increasing labor and material costs, we've decided to eliminate fluid milk from our current line of premium dairy products.

Our family extends gratitude for all of our steadfast customers who LOVE our milk and we are proud to have provided an "easy to drink, easy to digest" milk to so many of you for this long!”

Iowa Palmer Company's Twin Bing Products

Can you even really claim to live in this part of the country if you've never had a Twin Bing?

WHAT IS A TWIN BING?

"It consists of two round, chewy, cherry-flavored nougats coated with a mixture of chopped peanuts and chocolate. The Twin Bing was introduced in the 1960s," -Wikipedia

Not only has the TB been a staple of the Sioux Empire for over half a decade, but the makers of the classic candy have also infused the unique cherry and chocolate flavor into lots of other things.
