Cliff Avenue and Third Street
Drivers traveling on North Cliff Avenue should watch for a lane reduction between Second Street and Third Street. Beginning today, the northbound lane will be reduced to one lane while crews repair accessible curb ramps.
The sidewalk on the east side of Cliff Avenue will also be closed, with pedestrians directed around the work zone. The project is expected to take about a week to complete.
Marion Road
A utility project will affect South Marion Road beginning this morning. Xcel Energy crews will close the northbound outside lane between 38th Street and 41st Street.
The closure is expected to remain in place through the end of the day Wednesday, October 14.
Success Street and Masters Avenue
This project will bring more extensive changes to traffic. Beginning at 8:30 a.m. today, West Success Street will close west of Masters Street. Masters Avenue will also be closed to southbound traffic between West University Trail and West Success Street.
Smart Commercial Construction will be performing site development work. If the weather cooperates, the closures are expected to last approximately four weeks.
Kiwanis Avenue
Concrete repairs will close the southbound outside lane of North Kiwanis Avenue between McClellan Street and Madison Street.
Work begins today and is expected to take about a week, weather permitting.
Ninth Street
Downtown drivers and pedestrians will also need to plan around roofing work on West Ninth Street. Beginning at 8:30 a.m. today, the westbound driving lane, parking lane, and north sidewalk will close between Minnesota Avenue and Dakota Avenue.
Westbound traffic will be shifted into the westbound left-turn lane, with one lane of traffic maintained in each direction. Pedestrians will be detoured to the south side of Ninth Street through the work area.
MJ Dalsin will have equipment staged in the roadway while crews complete the roofing work. The project is expected to wrap up in approximately two days, weather permitting.
