Final Super Moon Of 2023 Coming Up Over Minnesota, Iowa, South Dakota

The last big Supermoon of 2023 will soon be shining over Minnesota, Iowa, and South Dakota. Here's when to see it!

This last Supermoon of 2023 is also called the “Harvest Moon” and “Corn Moon”.

This full moon, unlike other full moons, rises at about the same time for a number of nights in the fall.

And because it does and is so bright it allows farmers to see better while harvesting their corn and other crops.

According to Almanac.com, you should look for September’s full Harvest Moon to appear just after sunset on Thursday, September 28.

It then reaches peak illumination at 4:58 A.M.  Central Time on Friday the 29th, drifting below the horizon shortly thereafter.
