The Sioux Falls Police Department, Moody County Sheriff's Office, and South Dakota Highway Patrol are alerting communities about a potentially dangerous criminal roaming around the Sioux Empire.  Details are limited at this time

His name is Zachariah Ryan. Details about his crimes are limited, but police did share a picture and say this parolee left in a hurry.

In a Facebook post from officials with the Moody County Sheriff's Office, the Native American man they're trying to locate was last seen south of the Colman area at 238th Street and 468th Avenue. He also might be carrying a weapon.

The Moody County Sheriff's Office assisted Sioux Falls PD, Minnehaha County Sheriff's Office along with SD Highway Patrol in locating a subject who is currently on Parole and has Absconded. He was last seen around 530 pm on 03-04-26 in a vehicle that was found wrecked and abandoned near 238th St and 468th Avenue south of Colman. He is believed to be dangerous and may have a weapon with him. Unknown for sure at this time. Unknown direction of travel on foot from the wrecked vehicle in a field. As of 816 pm same date, his whereabouts are unknown.

Police are cautioning the surrounding communities to lock all vehicles and buildings. The suspect has head and neck tattoos and was last seen wearing a camouflage sweatshirt. If you or anyone notices suspicious activity, call 911 immediately.
