‘SNL’ Says Goodbye to Former South Dakota Governor With Jokes
It's been quite the week for former South Dakota Governor and now former Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem. She's out of the White House, but not without a goodbye present from Saturday Night Live.
If you thought that the former South Dakota Governor was going to leave her position quietly, writers at Saturday Night Live weren't going to let that happen.

On the latest episode of SNL, comedian and writer Colin Jost portrayed Secretary Pete Hegseth talking about the latest world events. But in the midst of all the turmoil, one headline not hiding under the radar was Kristi Noem getting "self-deported."
Comedian and SNL Cast Member Ashley Padilla, acting as the former South Dakota Governor, just had a few last words to say before she gets started as an envoy for Shield of the Americas.
"I just want to make it clear that I didn't get fired. I self-deported. And though I may be leaving this job, I will not be ending my mission. As I told my plastic surgeon, the work is never done."
The Weekend Update crew also poked some last-minute jokes about Kristi Noem's departure. Cheers erupted in the live audience as soon as Colin Jost said, "Well, Homeland Secretary Kristi Noem has been fired." Of course, Colin had his own questions for the audience.
Well played, Saturday Night Live. For now, maybe we have seen the last of Kristi Noem jokes on Saturday Night Live.
