South Dakotans have the opportunity to play the Powerball Jackpot and the Mega Millions. The Mega Millions drawing occurs every Tuesday and Friday evening.

Apparently during the Tuesday, January 10th drawing, there was a winning Mega Millions ticket sold in South Dakota worth $30,000.

So someone in South Dakota won money. What's the big deal? Well, the winning ticket appears to be missing. The winner has not claimed this giant prize.

On Facebook over the weekend, the South Dakota Lottery  says this unclaimed ticket was sold in Aberdeen at the 6th Avenue Pit Stop.

The South Dakota Lottery explains that if this winner does not claim this $30,000 prize, then this lucky person could lose the money.

Lotto tickets have 180 days after the draw date to be claimed. Must be 18 years or older to play, please play responsibly.

It's very possible that the winner either lost the ticket or hasn't even checked it. So if you purchased a Mega Millions ticket for the January 10th drawing, here is a refresher on the numbers:

7, 13, 14, 15, and 18 and the Mega Ball is 9

The South Dakota Lottery hopes to find this lucky winner as soon as possible! Here's what you should do if you are the $30,000 winner:

Please sign the back of your ticket immediately then visit a Lottery validation center to claim your prize! Must be 18 years or older to play. Please play responsibly.

In case you're wondering, the next Mega Millions drawing is tonight (Tuesday, February 14th). The Mega Millions jackpot total is at $67 million. Not a bad Valentine's Day gift!

Life on a Cattle Ranch in Western South Dakota

Life is different out in the country. One look at the photo from Robin Bickel and you quickly realize that a workday is quite different as well, after all, she lives out west in South Dakota Cattle Country.

Robin Bickel took time to tell KIKN Country a little bit about her life out west and life as a woman, working outdoors with animals and nature in God's Country. Bickel lives and works on a cattle ranch operated by herself, her father, Jack, and his brother Keith. How far out in the country is she? How does 50 miles west of Mobridge, South Dakota sound? Yep, mountain time out there.

Life is so different in Sioux Falls, South Dakota compared to what our friends on the farm and ranches deal with. It's a half-mile to the grocery store for our family. For Robin, it's 17 miles. However, it's a quick step out her door and she's right in the middle of where a lot of the groceries come from.
