It’s Time for a Country Music Star to Perform at the Super Bowl Halftime Show
Over the years, the Super Bowl has hosted a wide variety of musicians in its infamous halftime show performance. However, one genre they seem to be forgetting about would be the true ‘American genre’ of country music.
We've had performers sing the National Anthem, which is certainly an honor, but the last time a country superstar performed during the actual halftime show at football’s greatest yearly showdown was in 2003.
In '03, the performer was Shania Twain, whose performance included No Doubt and Sting. In case you don’t want to do the math, that would be 14 years ago!
In the spirit of The Super Bowl coming up this Sunday, February 5, 2017, we decided to take to Facebook and ask our Kickin’ Country fans which country singer they would pick to perform at halftime, if they were given the option.
