Girl Scouts Are About More Than Cookies
I had the honor of being part of a panel at a Girl Scouts event last weekend. Women from all different backgrounds and professions were asked to come and talk to a group of Girl Scouts about the roles of women in the workplace and the world in general.
I thought it interesting that the event was the same day as The Women's March. Girl power everywhere!
My fellow panelists were Dr. Ashley Ingalls-Chiropractor and home schooling mom of 5, Barb Fish- Brandon City Council and financial planner, Jo Hausman- Brandon City Council/pod cast/business consultant, Marla Meyer- CEO Girl Scouts Dakota Horizons, Jessica Hutchinson- Production Director and Partner Blend Interactive.
So as you can see there was a very diverse group of women to answer the girl's questions.
The questions ranged from things about college to obstacles in our careers to what we think our strengths and weaknesses are.
I was very impressed by these young women! And by my fellow panelists. Very impressive ladies all the way around.
And to think I almost missed it because of my cold. So glad I toughed it out for these girls. Plus, I got the CEO Badge!
