For many players and programs, National Signing Day brings a heightened sense of optimism and excitement with new blood being infused into the program.

For the class of 2016, the Florida State Seminoles took home the best overall signing class while the Michigan Wolverines took home the best prospect.

The #1 prospect in the 2016 class hails from New Jersey and now Rashan Gary is now going to be playing on the defensive line for the Michigan Wolverines.

From 2012-2015, the Alabama Crimson Tide were #1 atop the signing day rankings but didn't fall too far in 2016 sitting at #2.

According to most accounts, the Big 10 didn't have any surprise at the top as Ohio State and Michigan were one and two within the conference.

Some other notables from the Big 10 included Michigan State at #3, Nebraska at #6 and Iowa at #7.
