Where do you take all the Springtime lawn crap you clean up around your yard? The city of Sioux Falls has just the springtime answer and it's FREE!

It's that time of year around Sioux Falls when we have to head out into our yards to rake up leaves, trim shrubs and trees, and clean up around the yard.

The City of Sioux Falls announced that the citywide spring cleanup this year starts Saturday, April 16, and will run through Sunday, May 29, 2022.

According to Dakota News Now, there are two drop-off sites.

One is at the W. H. Lyon Fairgrounds at 100 North Lyon Blvd for any yard clean-up items, native grass trimmings, lawn thatch, flowerbed cleanup, leaves, and branches smaller than three inches in diameter.

The other drop-off site is at the Sioux Falls Regional Sanitary Landfill at 26750 464th Ave. Hartford will also be available at no charge from Saturday, April 16, and will run through Sunday, May 29, 2022.

The Landfill will be operating under summer hours from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
