Florida Georgia Line are prepping for the opening of their Las Vegas residency this December, and the country duo have picked singer-songwriter Canaan Smith to join them for the run.

And he's pumped.

"I’ve always wanted to tour with FGL, and what better place than America’s playground," Smith says of the gig in a press release. "Seriously, I’m amped, y’all. I'm gonna make the most out of every minute on that stage. These crowds have no idea what’s comin'."

This isn’t the first time these three have hooked up professionally — the "Love You Like That" singer signed on with FGL’s publishing house Tree Vibez Music earlier this year as a songwriter.

“I’m right where I need to be,” Smith remarked in May. “I’ve never felt more inspired to make great music."

"We are so excited to be able to team up with such an amazing artist and one of our best friends," added FGL’s Tyler Hubbard. "This is a full circle dream come true for all of us and the journey is just beginning."

The journey continues as part of the Florida Georgia Line Live From Las Vegas experience — five nights of live shows inside the Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. The shows run December 1, 5, 7, 8 and 11, with tickets available via Ticketmaster. Mason Ramsey is also on the bill for the much-anticipated events. Coincidentally (or perhaps not), Smith is also a co-writer for Ramsey's breakout single "Famous."

Florida Georgia Line have a busy fall ahead before the residency kicks off. The duo are nominated for Vocal Duo of the Year, Single of the Year and Musical Event of the Year at the 2018 CMA Awards, which air from Nashville on Nov. 14.
