Florida Georgia Line Break Billboard Hot Country Songs Chart Record for Most Weeks at No. 1
The combination of Florida Georgia Line's No. 1 songs “Cruise,” “Stay,” “This Is How We Roll,” “Dirt,” “H.O.L.Y.” and the recent “Meant to Be” has earned them 90 weeks in the No. 1 spot on the Hot Country Songs chart, edging out King George as the reigning champion of weeks at No. 1. This record makes FGL the act with the highest total number of weeks at the top of the chart since it launched in 1958.
Florida Georgia Line, a duo comprised of Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard, have enjoyed a massive amount of No. 1 hit success since their debut single, "Cruise," topped the charts for 24 weeks straight in 2012-'13. Among their other most successful songs, "H.O.L.Y." topped the charts for 18 consecutive weeks in 2016.
"We are absolutely blown away and extremely humbled to even be on the same chart as George Strait and some of our other heroes and country legends, so it's wild to see our songs total 90 weeks at No. 1," Kelley tells Billboard. "It's really hard to wrap our brains around that, but it's also super-inspiring to get back in the studio and create more music for our fans."
Florida Georgia Line have shared three new songs off their upcoming fourth album. On Friday (July 6), they released "Talk You Out of It." "Simple" and "Colorado" were released at the end of May. The duo has a number of concerts scheduled this summer; check out the band's website for more information on their tour dates.
