Florida Georgia Line and Fireball Whiskey

It was bothering me.  The new song by Florida Georgia Line was bothering me.  It's literally littered with great phrases that catch and hold attention.

But what kind of Whiskey are they talking about?  Fireball Whiskey.  I thought it was just a term that southern folk used to describe some sort of moonshine.  Let's head to google...Oh, 'Fireball Whiskey' is actually a brand of spirits! Tastes Like Heaven, Burns Like Hell!  (that's their slogan) According to FireballWhiskey.com,

Rumor has it that Fireball Whisky was forged sometime in the mid-80s during the coldest winter Canada had ever seen when a mixologist turned mad scientist accidentally created a permanent solution to frostbite. The concoction slowly and quietly made its way around North America for a few years as a secret handshake between veteran bartenders. Fireball took an important turn when several bottles were smuggled to the lower 48 from Canada. Word got out and now we're just trying to make it fast enough to keep the fire burning.

I love a well written song.  Round Here is one of them.  Florida Georgia Line is hugely popular right now. It's songs like this that get your ears itching that are going to keep them popular...for a long time!
