Peaches are great. They are so great that they even have a song written about them.

But I digress, peaches are going to be all the rage this weekend at the Fourth Annual South Dakota Peach Festival.

Going on at the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds on June 17th from 10 AM until 11 PM and things get going again on the 18th from 11AM until 5 PM. Maybe bring Dad out for Father's Day!

Admission is free!

There will be live entertainment and vendors to check out. There will be live music from Minority Falls and Tyler David on Saturday. Then on Sunday, Mogen's Heroes and Sock Puppet Menagerie will take the stage.

And my favorite thing about any festival in the Summer, food. And because this is the Peach festival, just about everything has peach as the star. You can try everything from peach beer to peach cobbler. There is even a baking contest. The baking contest is Saturday at 3PM, but it is $10 to enter.

Plus, there will be prizes given away with proceeds benefitting the Special Olympics South Dakota.
