The “City at the Foothills” is beginning a new tradition. A celebration of the arts, food, and the classics and a community’s strength & resiliency to grow and find vision in the future. With exciting events on the schedule Wessington Springs is excited to invite you to our 1st annual “Foothills Days” August 2-4.
The following is a schedule of events for the weekend:

Friday
• A city known for its art and musical talents, beginning Friday from 9am-4pm, “Arts in the Garden” will feature a Plein Air (Open Air) art event and tours of the cottage from 10am-2pm.
• Friday evening from 5-9pm our local firemen will host “Family Fun Night.” This event is the annual fundraiser for their department and provides mountains of fun, food and drinks for the entire family!
Saturday
• Find your treasures at our City-Wide Rummage Sales beginning at 7am along with Crazy Days at participating local merchants – look for the list on the Rummage Sale flyers.
• Plein Air art event continues 9am-2pm along with an Artisan Craft Fair & Performance Arts all at Shakespeare Garden. Arts in the Garden performances will feature Native American flute player Darren Thompson. He is one of Crazy Horse Memorial’s main performers, has been featured at the Smithsonian and in 2016 was the opening act for the Brulé Summer Concert series in the Black Hills. Also performing will be many very talented local performers from the Wessington Springs area. Opportunities are still available for artists and vendors.
• The Annual Foothills Classic featuring cars, trucks, tractors, & motorcycles always provides a fun afternoon for all ages.
o Registration 10am-12pm
o Show Time 12-4pm
o Kids Pedal Pull
 registration 12:30pm
 begins at 1pm
• 1st annual Ribfest in the park at 5pm with live music, plenty of food & drinks
o Featuring 11 Years New , an acoustic four-piece band known for tight harmonies, sweet guitar licks, and turning any song into an acoustic tune. The band has been playing around Sioux Falls and neighboring communities for roughly 5 years
Sunday
• Community Church in the park 10am
• Community Potluck to follow – Bring your favorite dish to share for community fellowship in the park
