Have you ever wondered what the inside of the South Dakota Governor's mansion looks like? If you have ever seen the big home on the shore of Capitol Lake in Pierre, South Dakota, you know that the outside is beautiful. But now you can have a chance to take a peek inside the Governor's mansion.

Starting in June, First Lady Linda Daugaard and Governor Dennis Daugaard are happy to open the home once again for the fifth season of weekly tours - and they are FREE!

First Lady Daugaard says that she is pleased to host a fifth year of summer tours.

We are pleased to host a fifth year of summer tours. The Governor’s mansion belongs to the people of South Dakota, and Dennis and I invite every South Dakotan to enjoy this special home.

Weekly tours will begin Wednesday, June 3, 2015 and continue each Wednesday in June, July and August.

The 30 minute tours will start at 1:00pm and will be conducted by not only volunteers, but also (if you are lucky enough) the First Lady herself. Each tour group can hold about 40 visitors and the public must get the free tickets in advance.

If you are interested in touring the South Dakota Governor’s mansion, tickets are available at the Pierre Chamber of Commerce.
