Beer snobs everywhere have been turning up their noses at craft beer ever since it burst on to the scene a few years ago. But, for me, and millions of other beer lovers, the seemingly endless array of flavor possibilities make drinking beer exactly what it should be - fun.

Over the years, I've tried blueberry beer, coffee beer, rye beer, chocolate beer, grapefruit beer, pumpkin beer, and even banana bread beer. But now comes the beer that may put all others to shame - cookie dough beer.

The folks at New Belguim Brewing, already well-known for Fat Tire and whole host of other craft brews, are teaming with the 'A-Team' of all things sweet and delicious - Ben & Jerry's.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ale will be rolled out this fall. It's not the first time New Belguim and Ben & Jerry's have teamed up. Last year, the two introduced Salted Caramel Brownie Brown Ale to the market.

Ben & Jerry's have announced that $50,000 from the sales of Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ale will benefit Protect Our Winters, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness about climate change.
