Convicted Sex Offender Escapes From Jail Just 6 Days Before His Scheduled Release
Apparently this guy got sick of checking days off his calendar and decided 272 days in the clink was enough.
Thirty-year-old Matthew Medlin of Portland, Oregon was serving a 278-day prison sentence at the Columbia River Correctional Institute for burglary, sex abuse and assault. Medlin scaled a fence and made his escape last Wednesday, April 30. Within 12 hours, authorities found him at a Jack in the Box restaurant a few miles away.
Medlin was scheduled to be released on May 6. Charges are being determined.
