Carrie Underwood and Yolanda Adams Deliver Stirring ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ on Elvis Tribute
Carrie Underwood and Yolanda Adams brought all the soul to the Elvis All-Star Tribute with a powerful performance of "You'll Never Walk Alone" Sunday night (Feb. 17).
The country superstar joined forces with the acclaimed gospel singer to deliver a stirring rendition of the Rodgers & Hammerstein classic that Elvis Presley released as a single in 1968. It was the title track of his album of gospel recordings in 1971.
Though the song is roughly five stanzas, the powerhouse vocalists immersed themselves in every word, capturing the song's emotion as they sent their voices soaring to the rafters as they belted, "Walk on through the wind / Walk on through the rain / Though your dreams be tossed and blown / Walk on, walk on / With hope in your heart / And you'll never walk alone."

It was one of Underwood's best performances in recent memory, demonstrating her grand voice by hitting each note with power and grace, while Adams brings passion and strength to her delivery, making for one of the best performances of the special. The two also performed "How Great Thou Art" and "He Touched Me."
Underwood took the stage multiple times during the Elvis All-Star Tribute broadcast that not only celebrated Presley's legacy, but commemorated the 50th anniversary of his career defining 1968 Comeback Special. She joined peers Blake Shelton and Darius Rucker, along with Post Malone and Shawn Mendes, for a rendition of "If I Can Dream," which served as the finale number in Presley's 1968 special.
The tribute concert also featured Keith Urban, Dierks Bentley, Kelsea Ballerini, Little Big Town and Pistol Annies.
