It's a big football weekend for Division II College Football here in Sioux Falls.  Augustana VS USF, Round II comes this weekend. Last year the Cougars came away with an overtime win.  (32-31)  The Vikings hope to return the favor this weekend at Bob Young Field.

It's really shaping up as kind of a good football game.  This past Saturday, I was listening to Jeff Fylling land Tyler Schulte with the call of the game on Kickin' Country and was pleasantly surprised to hear of Augie's big homecoming win.  I'm sure they would like to keep that going.

If you have kids playing for either USF or Augustana,  you're probably calling it, 'The Break in the Travel' Bowl.  Some of the road trips in NSIC football can get kind of long.  This is a nice break in 'that action.'

Jeff and Tyler will have the call again this weekend on Kickin' Country.  Pregame is set for 6:00 p.m. with Kickoff at 6:30.

Here's the latest on the game from GoAugie.com.  By the way, hats off to the crew at GoAugie.com.  It's a very well done, complete website!

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Augustana returns to Sioux Falls, where it will stay for the next three weeks, to host Upper Iowa on Saturday, Oct. 19. Opening kickoff is set for 1 p.m. at Kirkeby-Over Stadium. Saturday's homecoming game will wrap-up a week's long activities as a part of Viking Days 2013. Augustana enters the game at 2-4 on the season, 0-2 in the NSIC South and is looking to snap a three-game skid. Upper Iowa (4-2, 1-1 NSIC South) is coming off a 28-24 win over Concordia-St. Paul at home last week.
