If you're a long time Sioux Falls resident, you've undoubtedly driven by the Volunteers of America's Bowden Youth Center a countless number of times at its current 11th Street location, but just after the New Year, the Bowden Youth Center will have a new place to call home.

KDLT News is reporting, that starting Tuesday, (January 2) the Bowden Youth Center will have a brand new location at 1309 West 51st Street here in Sioux Falls.

The center, known for impacting the lives of our youth here in the Sioux Empire since 1999, by providing a safe, nurturing environment with supportive staff is moving into new digs with the start of the New Year.

Volunteers of America Dakotas staff told KDLT News, the new youth center will once again feature an after school program, complete with a library, computer lab and full size gym. The new location also boasts an expanded outdoor community garden area.

Operating hours will remain the same, with dinner being served nightly, and transportation to and from the new facility available to youth who need to use it.
