ACM's Lifting Lives initiative and the Borderline Bar & Grill in Thousand Oaks, Calif., are teaming for an upcoming county concert benefit event to raise money for the victims of the mass shooting that took place at Borderline in November 2018 and their families.

Nashville star Charles Esten is set to host the one-night-only ACM Lifting Lives Presents: Borderline Strong concert event, which will include performances from Trace Adkins, Jimmie Allen, Esten, Cassadee Pope, Tyler Rich, Runaway June and more artists who are still to be announced.

The benefit concert is set to take place at the Fred Kavli Theatre in the Thousand Oaks Civic Center on Feb. 11, and all net proceeds will go to benefit the victims and their families via the Ventura County Community Foundation’s Conejo Valley Victim’s Fund.

Country Stars React to the Mass Shooting in California

Twelve people died at the Borderline on Nov. 7, 2018, when a lone gunman burst into the crowded bar just before midnight and began firing into the hundreds of patrons who had assembled for a college country night. Among the victims was Ventura County Sheriff's Sgt. Ron Helus, who was one of the first responders on the scene after reports of shots being fired. Authorities later concluded that Helus died from friendly fire from the rifle of a California Highway Patrol officer who was also responding to the shooting.

“We are deeply grateful to ACM Lifting Lives for standing with the victims and survivors of this devastating tragedy," Vanessa Bechtel, President & CEO of the Ventura County Community Foundation, says in a press release. "While we know that financial support cannot begin to alleviate the pain of this horrific event, we hope these funds will offer some basic aid and support during these difficult times of transition and recovery. Thank you to everyone working to ensure that those touched by this tragedy are assisted in every way possible."
