Blake Shelton is taking his new honor of being named People's Sexiest Man Alive very seriously. Donning a three-piece suit to appear on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Friday (Nov. 17), 2017's prize man promised he'll be bringing his famous mullet back.

"I have been fat and ugly my whole life, and if only for one year I get to be sexy, I am going to milk this for everything that it's worth," he tells the talkshow host, declaring: "The mullet's coming back this year!"

"That used to be ugly, it's officially sexy now," he adds. "It's the law. It's like the sun coming up."

Shelton follows fellow The Voice judge Adam Levine in being named Sexiest Man Alive, and the Maroon 5 singer isn't pleased at the news. "He's like the good looking guy on The Voice anyway," Shelton shares. "Adam is not happy because he was the only sexy guy on the panel until this new law of the land was enforced by People Magazine."

DeGeneres suggests that Shelton's girlfriend, Gwen Stefani, may also have a difficult time with the country superstar's new sexy status. It's something Shelton contemplates for a moment, and then quickly agrees.

"I feel bad for her because she has been in the spotlight and this symbol of beauty and now this," he says, motioning to his body. "With this new power that has been bestowed upon me, I can bring the mullet back."
