Bailey Bryan's new song, "Perspective," is an uplifting, positive look at love, but without the extra sugar.

Bryan teamed with Fancy Hagood and Joe Ginsberg to write "Perspective," and in a press release, she says it's important to her to avoid the corny cliches that often reside in love songs.

"I got a new perspective / All 'cause you respect this / Finally liking what I see / Got me thinking of my exes / They can leave a message / I got everything I need / And it's all because of you / Yeah it's all because of you / No one's ever loved me the way you do /  Giving me a new perspective /  Seeing my reflection from a better point of view,"   Bryan sings.

“I’d rather sound like the biggest weirdo in the world than put out something sappy…it’s just not me,” Bryan states. “And the reason I like this one so much is because it really captures the core of what I think real love should be: something that reflects back on you and makes you see yourself in a different, more positive light. It came from a place in me that I didn’t even know existed. It’s my version of a love song and the first love song I’ve ever written.”

The song also comes with a reflective lyric video that is dedicated to her fans and features imagery from her time touring.

"Perspective" is the second track Bryan has shared from her upcoming EP.

Bryan will be returning overseas this May, joining Lanco for a U.K. run of dates kicking off on May 1 in London.
