Authorities say a Brandon teenager is the prime suspect of a robbery. The arrest stems from the burglary of a Renner residence during Brandon Valley’s graduation.

Eighteen year-old Tristin Pliska of Brandon was arrested on Tuesday and charged with six counts of grand theft and one count of second degree burglary.

Minnehaha County Sheriff Sgt. Mike Walsh says the incident happened on May 17. Among the items taken were six guns and over $3,000 in cash.

Four of the guns were rifles according to Walsh including three AR-15 models. Two handguns were also stolen.

Walsh says the investigation still has loose ends. “More arrests are expected in this particular case. We are aware that he did not commit this crime by himself.”

Some of the stolen items were recovered, however the search continues and Walsh implores the public to help. “The sheriff’s office is still requesting assistance from the public in locating some of the stolen rifles, in particular the missing AR-style assault rifles.” Contact Crime Stoppers at 367-7007 to pass along any further information.
