A Resource for Everyone in South Dakota ‘Call to Freedom’

Sometimes, a word, or rhyme, can bring clarity. Put those two together and you can get magic. Sometimes magic is what's needed to bring attention to an atrocity that happens every day around the world and here at home. Human Trafficking.

Many radio listeners from around Sioux Falls, know of Travis Jacobs.  Jacobs spent time on Hot 104.7 and Kickin' Country waking folks up and helping them through their work day. People have asked me, what's Trav been up to? I answer that question with, 'helping organizations like Call to Freedom bring focus to their organization, with a bit of Trav Magic! 

According to Call to Freedom.org;

Human Trafficking is  the world’s fastest growing criminal industry, it affects every corner of the globe—including the state of South Dakota.

Call to Freedom is a resource everyone should have. Parents, teens and even the elderly need to be informed and need to know what might be going on right in front of them.

All around us, every day.  Human Trafficking is a $150 billion dollar industry that snatches freedom from millions all around the world. Men, women and children world wide and our neighborhoods are exploited for commercial sex or manual labor against their will. 99% of the victims are never even identified. Call to Freedom.org goes on to say;

Many, then return to “the life” (streets), end up in jail or prison, or simply disappear due to a lack of specialized long-term care for survivors.

Where do we start? First of all by recognizing and watching for signs of Human Trafficking in our own communities. In our own homes.
