Tucker Beathard to Play 2017 Lollapalooza
Tucker Beathard represent country music at the 2017 Lollapalooza Music Festival in Grant Park, Chicago, this August. The event runs from Aug. 3-6 and boasts Beathard as the only country act set to play. He will join Arcade Fire, the Shins and Big Sean as part of the lineup on Sunday (Aug. 6).
Four-day passes to Lollapalooza have already sold out. Limited one-day passes will be available Wednesday (March 22) beginning at 11AM ET. For more information on tickets, visit the festival's website.
Beathard himself is keeping busy until he takes the festival stage, as he is currently on the road with Brantley Gilbert during Gilbert's 2017 The Devil Don't Sleep Tour.
“It’s awesome,” Beathard tells Taste of Country of touring with the star. “Brantley is one of the most straight up, nicest dudes in the business honestly. He’s kind of been treating me like a little brother and looking after me, so he’s been great.”
Gilbert and Beathard are a perfect fit as tourmates, as the two both embody a country rock sound within their sets. It's this commonality that their audiences seem to embrace, too.
“The crowds have just been awesome to play for, real down-to-earth, blue collar country fans. No better fans that I’ve ever played for really,” the young star says of the response he's gotten from fans. “Every artist is appealing to different crowds and I think this one for me, it feels like it’s just the right crowd. What you see is what you get … I try to make the most impact in speech, let my music do more of the talking.”
