2 Injured, 1 Arrested After ATV Crash Near Garretson

A Garretson man was cited for drunk driving after an ATV crash around 9:30 Tuesday night.

The Minnehaha County Sheriff's Office says 34-year-old Dusty Neal Risty was driving the ATV on a rural road just south of Garretson when he lost control and the vehicle rolled.

Risty and a 26-year-old passenger were thrown from the ATV.

Neither was wearing a helmet.

Risty was flown to a Sioux Falls hospital with serious injuries.

His passenger was taken to a Sioux Falls hospital by Garretson Ambulance, also with serious injuries.

Deputies say Risty was cited for first-offense DWI.
