11-Year Old Bringing a Little Johnny Cash to South Dakota State Fair
It's fair time in South Dakota and it feels good!
Leaves are starting to change color and if you check the forecast for this weekend, you'll see that cooler weather is on the way. In fact, forecasters are even talking snow in the mountains early next week. But for now, it's Fair Time in South Dakota.
One of the neat things about the fair is the Centennial Stage. For years, Sherwin Linton has been giving a boost to local musicians. This year is no exception. According to The Huron Plainsmen;
South Dakota State Fair stapleSherwin Linton and the Cotton Kings take over the Centennial Stage at 11 a.m., 2 p.m., and 4 p.m. daily. Along with Sherwin and Pam Linton’s performances, you can expect South Dakota’s finest up and coming mu-sicians, including 11-year-old coun-ty rocker Beckett Olson Moffitt and 7-year-old “little yodelin’ cowgirl” Eden Judyth. Each of Linton’s perfor-mances have a flair of their own. Fromclassic country and rock and roll to atribute to America’s Veterans, eachshow will be something special.
If you're headed to the State Fair, remember to buckle up and drive safe oh, and pick up a Mellon or two along the way!
