You Want to See My I.D.? For What?

Sometimes I take pictures with the Samsung Galaxy S5 I use courtesy of Sprint in Sioux Falls and forget about them for a while. That happened just the other day.

Red Dirt, Country Music Star Aaron Watson was at The District a few days ago. I went to the show. They asked me on the way in if I was going to drink. I thought I might have one while I was there so I said sure and held out my wrist. Then something happened that hasn't happened for a long time.

You see, I've been without hair on the top of my head for about 2 decades now. Not slick bald, but bald enough to now just cut it all off with a pair of clippers. I thought that was ID enough that I was old enough to drink.

Yep, I got carded. Even happened in front of other people so I have proof.

I turned 54 on June 18th, along with Blake Shelton and Paul McCartney. It took me by surprise to get carded, but it kind of felt good.

It felt good for a couple reasons. It showed that there are businesses in town like The District that care enough to check. But the reason it felt best is because it hadn't happened for a long, long time.
