Jacob Bichler and his pregnant fiancée Emily enjoyed a very special encore after attending Garth Brooks' Saturday night (May 14) late show at Van Andel Arena Grand Rapids, Mich. When they finally returned home from the concert, they had a baby boy with them.

Emily started having contractions during the country show, so when Brooks finished around 2AM, the couple headed straight to the hospital. Around 5:30AM they welcomed a 7-pound, 9-ounce little boy named Jaxson.

"I’m definitely keeping that ticket stub for his baby book," Bichler tells WXMI-TV.

Mother and child are doing just fine, the television station reports. The couple chose Saturday night's concert because they had a C-Section scheduled for Monday and thought attending Sunday night's show in Grand Rapids would leave them too tired. The couple tweeted Brooks, but haven't heard back from the singer or his wife Trisha Yearwood.

The happy news balances out a sad story from North Dakota earlier this month, when 68-year-old Harvey Aho went into cardiac arrest after climbing the Fargodome stairs to get to his seat at another Brooks show. Valley News Live reports that he and his wife of 43 years had driven from Dryden, Ontario, to see the concert. It was going to be a dream come true for Aho. Venue staff tended to him quickly, but he died at the hospital soon after with family by his side.

"We were shocked for sure but at the same time in the back of your mind not so shocked when it happened," Aho's son-in-law Mark Nault said, adding that "The Dance" would be played at the funeral.

Brooks has a few weekends off before beginning a Canadian run of dates in June. He'll play the brand new T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas starting June 24.
