The woman who police charged with DUI when she caused a serious motorcycle crash in July 2014 has changed her plea to guilty.

55-year-old Cynthia Goeman was accused of pulling out in front of a motorcycle carrying 21-year-old Michelle Tarian and 24-year-old Quintin McMartin. The crash happened at a flashing red light at the intersection of Tenth Street and Lowell Avenue in Sioux Falls.

Officials say Goeman's blood alcohol level was at least .10 at the time. Both McMartin and Tarian were hospitalized with serious injuries in the crash.

Since Goeman is a multiple DUI offender (more than 5) she could face up to ten years in prison for the crime. Her sentencing will be scheduled at a later date.
