Former South Dakota State University guard Nate Wolters was not retained by the New Orleans Pelicans.  He is now eligible to be signed by any NBA team.

The all-time leading scorer in State history will hopefully hook up with another squad.  Wolters was released by Milwaukee on January 11, then signed a 10-day contract with New Orleans on January 14.

The second ten-day run began on January 24. However, League rules dictate the Pelicans had to decide either to sign the former Jackrabbit for the rest of the season or cut him loose.

Wolters appeared in 10 games for the Pelicans averaging 10 minutes per game with 1.7 points, 1.1 assists and 1.2 rebounds per contest.  In all, the standout who hails from St. Cloud, Minnesota has logged 69 career games over 2 NBA seasons.
